Solid red and paint boers make up the majority of animals here at Rolling Creek. We do love reds, but in addition to being attractive animals, solid red boers are very useful in the development of other colored programs. We have 3 red herdsires that are second to none. Each adds a unique pedigree to our program, the oldest 2 have produced award winning daughters, and the youngest has been a joy to watch grow. We currently have 12 solid red does and 5 red and white paints in our brood herd. All of these does are being exposed for late spring kids. If you see a doe listed here and are interested in future kids, let us know so we can put you on a waiting list.

Miss Priss 6/07
I just love this doe from Newell Ranch in TX. She is being exposed to Chieftan for early fall kids.

This is Rolling Creek's Elektra and she is the perfect example of what we expect out of our Chieftan daughters. Elektra was shown as a kid....got bred a bit early and kidded 1 month before she was 1 year old....now...she is 16 months and has caught up and surpassed all the other does near her in age. We can mark the late spurt on a calendar and you know that between 16 and 18 months of age, these girls blossom into monsters.

Warrior last march, at 1 year old.

To tell the truth, I was not looking for any red and white paints when I spotted this young doe. She is a late fall '07 kid that is as large as most of our early spring does. We have owned several does out of this does sire and they cross well with Chieftan.......so I couldn't resist and here she is!

Matilda is one of our original red does. She is an awesome doe in both size and conformation. Matilda is currently in Alabama waiting to be flushed. We can't wait to have a bunch of 'little Matildas' bouncing around here this fall!

TH Pocohontas Pocohontas was a spur of the moment purchase at the Little Leage dispersal sale. Bred to Onyx, a very nice black buck, we were hoping for 1 black kid.......she gave us twin black does....Dahlia is the nicest solid black we have seen. We exposed her to Curly (black) for kids this summer and were pleased with the appearance of Summer Day and Summer Night. She has proven to be a solid producer and we look forward to kids by Chieftan this spring.

Winner is currently in Alabama with Matilda. She was the Junior IBGA Junior Grand Champion Doeling in her younger days and we continued showing her after we purchased her. She was awarded her Bronze Status last year. Her sire, LAB Red Ryder (1/2 brother to our own Chieftan) has become ABGA Non-traditional Ennobled.

Bon Joli Rowena Rowena is Chieftan's full sister from the same kidding. Her first contribution to Rolling Creek is Sir Spotsalot. Sir Spotsalots sire was a large buck with a few paint spots that was little rough in his build.....Rowena helped smooth the rough edges a bit and did it without sacrificing growth rate.....she even added some more spots! We have exposed Rowena to Perfection in hopes of adding even more quality spots to our herd.
